Commissioner of Police Chester Williams joins Most Excellent Order of the British Empire

By Aaron Humes: On National Heroes and Benefactors Day, Wednesday, Governor General Froyla Tzalam formally awarded Commissioner of Police Chester Williams, Sr., with the medal signifying membership in the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire as an ordinary member in the Civil division, abbreviated MBE.

In a statement, the Belize Police Department said of the boss: “The truly intelligent one does not boast of his work, but lets his genius shine through his work. We congratulate you on your well-deserving and honorable distinction, ComPol Williams…your work definitely preceded you.”

Williams was one of several awardees named at the end of the pandemic year of 2020 which mostly recognized civil servants for their work during the pandemic.
