Garden City clash with Altitude in the FFB Top League on Saturday

Just a couple of weeks back Altitude was squaring off with Verdes fighting for the top spot, but losses to San Pedro Pirates and Verdes pushed them into third place. At nine points, they are still unreachable by the bottom three this weekend, but a loss to Garden City would put them in dire straits.

On the other hand, Garden City is trying to pull out of the bottom half of the standings. With five points to their credit, they can inch up to Altitude if they should beat the southern team when they clash this Saturday night in Belmopan.

In the first game of the Closing Championship at the Michael Ashcroft Stadium in Independence, on February 5, Altitude blanked Garden City 2-0 on goals by Rene Leslie (5’) and Colombian Andrés Orozco (78’).

It’s revenge time now.

Garden City are better prepared now while Altitude are a bit shaken. For Garden City, it’s the moment to move up. For Altitude, it’s time to regain their footing. Makes for a great match when they meet at 7:30 pm on Saturday at the Isidoro Beaton Stadium in Belmopan.
