Slight rise in new cases of COVID-19 but total active case load below 500 entering weekend

By Aaron Humes: Belize has just 486 active cases of COVID-19 entering the weekend, as 31 new cases reported today were offset by 108 new recoveries.
However, the daily totals this week have risen slightly each day during the week: from 24 on Wednesday to 27 on Thursday to 31 today, Friday.
A further 91 samples are under investigation.
Belize remains just under 98 percent total recovery rate and both deaths and hospitalizations have stabilized, as the last of the Omicron wave continues to recede.
