Tracy Taegar-Panton maintains bid for leadership of the UDP; will contest upcoming convention

By Benjamin Flowers: Despite recent family tragedy, Tracy Taegar Panton has announced that she will maintain her bid for leadership of the United Democratic Party at the upcoming leadership convention.

Taegar-Panton, laid her late husband Herbert Panton to rest on Wednesday, following his sudden passing last week.

While there was some speculation that the loss would have had some effect on her bid, it has been confirmed that she will go up against Mesopotamia Area Representative Moses “Shyne” Barrow on March 27.
