22-year-old woman charged after allegedly caught on surveillance camera stealing $7,500 from her employer

By Aaron Humes: A Belize City resident allegedly caught on surveillance camera stealing cash from her boss while on the job is out on bail after she appeared before Magistrate’s Court to answer to a single charge of theft.

Based on a report made on Thursday, March 7 by Giovanni Russarollo, police arrested and charged Jasmin Judith Sanchez, 22, of Fabers Road Extension, Belize City for theft.

Sanchez, appearing before Senior Magistrate Tricia Pitts-Anderson, was read a single charge of theft of $7,500 in cash. Police sources tell us that Sanchez was captured on surveillance camera taking the money.

She pleaded not guilty and was offered bail of $3,000 plus one surety of the same amount which she met.

Jasmine Sanchez is due back in court on May 9, 2022.
