Belize City man shot in Belama

By Aaron Humes: Police are investigating a reporting shooting early on Friday morning.

32-year-old Albert Reid was walking on an unnamed street in the Belama area around 7:30 in the morning when he was approached by two men, one of whom drew a sawed-off shotgun.

The man who drew the shotgun fired once on the ground and Reid ran for his life into a nearby yard. However, the men followed him and the gunman shot at him again, injuring him.

Reid was treated and released from the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital while police search for his attackers.
