Motorcyclist struck from behind on Philip Goldson Highway

By Aaron Humes: A motorcyclist was hospitalized following an accident on Friday evening on the Philip Goldson Highway.

Deliveryman Joshua Carbajal of Ladyville, Belize District, was driving his Meilun motorcycle between miles 11 and 12 on the Philip Goldson Highway when as he tried to change direction to the other side of the road while traveling from Ladyville to Sandhill, he was hit from behind.

The culprit is identified as Philip Jones of Belize City, driving a Toyota 4-Runner.

Carbajal hit the side of the road and sustained body pains and a small cut to the lower left side of his back. He was taken to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital to be treated.

Both men are licensed and insured and investigations continue.
