Older man stabbed in front of church

By Aaron Humes: Police are investigating a stabbing incident late on Friday that took place in front of a church.

One Amado Ramos, 52, took shelter for the night in front of the Divine Mercy Roman Catholic Church on the Philip Goldson Highway at Mile 3 1/2 on Friday.

At some point during the night, he was awakened by a frightening sight: a shirtless man of “red skin” complexion, stabbing him with a knife.

Ramos’s screams sent the attacker running away up the highway while Ramos made his way to hospital. Police investigations continue.
