Belize Weather: A damp, dull Sunday

The National Meteorological Service calls for mostly cloudy skies today and tonight. Showers and periods of rain will develop mainly along the coast at first, then spread later to most areas.

High temperatures are 80 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 82 degrees inland and 74 degrees in the hills. Tonight’s low temperatures are 72 degrees along the coast, 68 degrees inland and 64 degrees in the hills.

Winds are north to northwest at 10 to 20 knots and sea state is moderate to rough, with waves of four to seven feet. A small craft caution is in effect for locally rough seas in northeasterly swells.

Tides will be high at 8:03 this morning and 6:47 this evening and low at 12:33 this afternoon. The sun sets at 6:02 this evening and rises exactly 12 hours later on Monday morning.

For Monday, skies will be cloudy with a few coastal showers or periods of rain in the morning, gradually decreasing.
