By Aaron Humes: The Old Capital is free of COVID-19 cases – new ones today, at least.
For the first time since April of 2020, Belize City has reported no new cases of COVID-19 cases. Both new cases in mainland Belize District were reported in Ladyville and Sandhill respectively, in addition to one in San Pedro Town.
Cayo leads the daily table with eight new cases including four in San Ignacio Town, three in the Greater Belmopan area, and one in Cotton Tree.
There were seven new cases in the Stann Creek District including two in Independence and one each in Alta Vista, Georgetown, Pomona, Cowpen, and San Roman.
Five cases were reported in the North including three in Orange Walk and two in Toledo – Punta Gorda and Forest Home.
