Desiree Gonzales and Marie Gomez – Two exceptional women employees honored by SMART for 17th anniversary and Women’s Month

By BBN Staff: In honour of SMART Belize’s 17th anniversary, which falls within Women’s Month, the company has publicly applauded two of its women employees for their exemplary service to the company.

Today, SMART took to its Facebook page to highlight Desiree Gonzalez, a billing clerk at the San Ignacio branch with 15 years of service. SMART noted that, in her 15 years at the company, Gonzalez has dedicated herself and gone above and beyond what was expected of her as an employee.

SMART also saluted its head of customer service, Marie Gomez, affectionately known as the company’s “Superwoman,” applauding her outstanding ability to work under pressure.

The company became a licensed telecom provider in 2003, and spent the subsequent years laying the technical ground work for its commercial launch on March 29, 2005.
