Cable technician robbed on the job

By Aaron Humes: One person has been detained pending investigation of a robbery in Belize City.

Cable company technician Damon Humes reported to police that he and a co-worker were on the job on Moya Street in the St Martin area on Thursday morning.

Around 11:15 a.m., they were approached by two men, one of whom was armed with a handgun. They were robbed of their phones and jewelry of undisclosed value.

Police quickly managed to recover the phones and as their investigations continue, they have detained one person in connection with the incident and are searching for the other.
