Belize Weather: Fair weekend weather ahead

Mostly fair weather prevails today with only a shower or two over some areas according to the National Meteorological Service.

Skies will be sunny with cloudy spells today and partly cloudy tonight. Showers will be isolated except for a few more over central and northern areas in the daytime.

High temperatures are 86 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast; 91 degrees inland and 79 degrees in the hills. Tonight’s low temperatures are 79 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast; 70 degrees inland and 65 degrees in the hills.

Winds are easterly at 10 to 20 knots and sea state is choppy to moderate with waves of three to six feet.

High tides occur at 10:41 this morning and 11:20 tonight and low tide at 5:11 this evening. Sunset is at 6:03 this evening and sunrise on Sunday morning is at 5:57.

The extended outlook through Sunday calls for continued mainly fair weather, with showers mostly isolated to the South.
