Government confirms ‘alternative venue’ for first stop of Royal tour

By Aaron Humes: Police are investigating the death of 29-year-old Ramandeep Mangat of San Ignacio Town on Friday night.
Police reports say that Ramandeep accompanied her husband Gurmeet around 8:10 pm to buy tacos from a stand on Buena Vista Street in front of the Princess Casino.
He parked the vehicle at the corner with Apollo Street, leaving his wife inside, to make the order. About five minutes later he heard his wife apparently screaming, then saw her fall out of the vehicle.
He ran to her and found her unresponsive on the ground. He quickly rushed her to the San Ignacio Community Hospital Emergency Ward, however, she was pronounced dead at a quarter to nine.
The body was observed with three gunshot wounds but no expended shells were found in the area on a canvass by police. Investigations continue.
