Southside residents pay tribute to Andrew Baptist of Cox Tire Shop

By Aaron Humes: Breaking Belize News (BBN) has learned of the passing of Andrew Baptist, proprietor of Cox Tire Shop on Vernon Street.

For Southside residents and especially those in the St Martin area, he was just “Cox” and a beloved fixture in the area.

The shop was a sanctuary for young boys in the area allowing them to learn the trade and make an income.

Today tributes were paid on social media to Baptist, whose cause of death is not presently known. BBN also wishes to extend its condolences to Baptist’s family.
