San Pedro Pirates beat Verdes Rebels Girls 1-0 in National Amateur Women’s League opener

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The San Pedro Pirates got off to a good start in the National Amateur Women’s League First Division on Saturday at home at Ambergris Stadium as they took down the visiting Verdes Rebels 1-0.

Olivia Dacosta converted the only goal of the very competitive match in the 36th minute.

The Pirates earned their first three points as they now prepare to face the champs Jewel Fury this coming weekend. That’s going to be a hot match as Fury were shocked 2-1 by the Sagitun GIRLZ in their opener.

The Verdes Rebels will rest this coming weekend.
