By Aaron Humes: One person is detained and another is being sought in connection with a robbery of a teacher who had just finished selling a vehicle but had forgotten some important items inside it, only to lose them to thieves.

According to Focion Riverol of Corozal Town, he had come to Belize City on Monday morning to finish selling a vehicle for which he was paid nearly five thousand dollars.

But he had forgotten a bag with important items inside the vehicle and had to contact the person he sold the vehicle to, to get it back.

While waiting, he was held up by a dark-skinned man with a nine-millimeter pistol and forced to hand over $5,400 cash, a wallet with a further $500; and his schoolbag containing his laptop and cell phone.

Police have detained one person and are looking for another as their investigation continues.
