By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Women in Stride, a sporting event for women, is coming up on Saturday, March 26, at BTL Park in Belize City, on occasion of International Women’s Month.
Organized by the Belize Women in Sport Commission and the Belize Olympic and Commonwealth Games Association (Belize Olympic Committee), Women in Stride features a 3-kilometre walk, a 5-kilometre run, a 10-kilometre bike ride, and yoga and body fit events.
Women in Stride is being promoted as “an event organized to promote women in sport and to celebrate the International Women’s Month”.
Registration, which is free, will be from 6:00 am to 6:30 am and the activities will run from 6:30 am to 8:30 am.
Sponsors are Health Maxx, Rhythm of Change, OM Shanti Belize, and the Belize City Council.
