Belize Athletics Association gears up for election on April 2

The Belize Athletics Association (BAA), led by President Deon Sutherland, is gearing up for elections on April 2.

The BAA posted on social media a list of 46 members, including two clubs, who can vote.

As is the case with other sports associations, elections were to have been held earlier but the COVID-19 pandemic delayed the process.

Sutherland said he is running for office again. He confirmed there are others who are contesting the positions in the executive body but said he was awaiting the final list of persons who sent in their names to the secretary-general.
