The Belize Men’s National Football Team (BMNT) will be playing a football friendly against Cuba on Sunday at the FFB Stadium in Belmopan.
The BMNT is taking advantage of the FIFA window of international games to play a preparation match for the Concacaf Nations League.
The Concacaf Nations League will be played from May 30 to June 14.
The only previous Belize-Cuba encounter finished 4-0 in favour of the Cubans on July 16, 2013 at the Concacaf Gold Cup at Hartford, Connecticut, in the United States.
In the last two friendlies Belize drew 1-1 with Nicaragua on February 2. Three days before on January 30, the BMNT had fallen 4-0 to the same Nicaraguan team. Both games were played in Managua.
Cuba’s last two friendlies were also against Nicaragua. They beat Nicaragua 3-0 on November 11, 2021, before falling 2-0 three days later on November 14.
The FFB said tickets are for $10 from Monday to Wednesday and $15 from Thursday to Saturday at the FFB Headquarters in Belmopan and at its offices at the Norman Broaster Stadium in San Ignacio, the Marion Jones Sports Complex in Belize City and at the People’s Stadium in Orange Walk.
On Sunday, tickets will cost $20 at the gate at the FFB Stadium.
