Belize Weather: Dry start, wet ending

Conditions are becoming more moist and unstable according to the National Meteorological Service.

Skies today will start sunny with cloudy spells, with showers limited to the Southern coast. However, areas of showers and thunderstorms will increase inland this afternoon and spread elsewhere tonight.

High temperatures are 86 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 91 degrees inland and 82 degrees in the hills. Tonight’s low temperatures are 74 degrees along the coast, 70 degrees inland and 63 degrees in the hills.

Winds are easterly at 10 to 20 knots and sea state is moderate with waves of four to six feet.

Tides will be low at 7:47 this morning and 10:11 this evening and high at 1:58 this afternoon. Sunset occurs at 6:04 this evening and sunrise on Friday morning is at 5:53.

Friday will be cloudy with showers, rain and isolated thunderstorms countrywide.
