Hattieville man remanded to prison for shooting fellow village resident and causing damage to her home

By BBN Staff: Jareth Jason Tablada, 40, has been remanded to the Belize Central Prison after facing several criminal charges in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court, for a shooting that occurred on Sunday.

Tablada was arraigned on Thursday, answering to three counts of aggravated assault with a firearm, one count of use of deadly means of harm, and one count of damage to property. His plea was taken from him and he was remanded until his next court date in May.

Tablada allegedly fired several shots at a home in Hattieville, hitting the homeowner in the left calf and putting three bullet holes in her flat-screen television.
