Mahogany Heights woman must stay away from women she threatened to have killed

By BBN Staff: 26-year-old Tiffara Hyde of Mahogany Heights, Belize District, must keep 100 yards from two women she allegedly threatened to have killed.

Hyde is charged with threats of death of Shannon Smith and Esther Milton, when she is alleged to have separately told each of them on March 16 that “I wah mek they kill you,” leaving the “they” unspecified.

In court, Hyde pleaded not guilty and claimed that she and Milton have had a previous issue and that Milton allegedly brought Smith to beat her.

The court prosecutor asked for conditions to be set for Hyde’s bail. The Magistrate granted her bail in the sum of $2,500 plus one surety of the same which she was able to meet. To stay free, she must not interfere with any of the two virtual complainants or any of their family members; she must also not be within 100 yards of the accusers, or else she would risk her bail being revoked.
