Tracy and Shyne face off for UDP leadership today

By Benjamin Flowers: The United Democratic Party (UDP) is selectign a new party leader today.

The UDP’s leadership convention kicks off at the Bird’s Isle in Belize City at 10:00 a.m. Regular voting will run until 2:00 p.m. and then an hour will be allotted for alternates to cast their votes.

Albert Division Area Representative Tracy Taegar Panton is going up against Mesopotamia Area Representative Moses “Shyne” Barrow for leadership. They need to convince the majority of 516 delegates that they are the best choice to take the party forward, after massive rejection at the polls in the November 2020 election and a number of internal struggles made public.
