By Aaron Humes: Ministry of Health and Wellness data shows 22 new cases of COVID-19 reported over the weekend countrywide.

The number of active cases is down to 262 after 35 new recoveries were reported, with 92 samples under investigation.

There were three new cases in Belize City and Corozal Town; two in Santa Elena Town, Cayo District, and San Pedro Town; and cases reported in Caledonia, Consejo and Santa Clara, Corozal District; August Pine Ridge, Orange Walk District; Belmopan and suburbs Maya Mopan and San Martin; Independence, Placencia, and Seine Bight, Stann Creek District; and Punta Gorda Town and Bladen Village, Toledo District.

Belize is up to 57,253 total cases of which 56,290 are designated recovered.
