Belize Defense Force celebrates Women’s Month with military open day held at Price Barracks

By Benjamin Flowers: In honor of Women’s Month, the Belize Defense Force (BDF) held a military open day on March 24, at Price Barracks, Ladyville from 9 am to 3 pm.

The BDF invited participants from the Belize Coast Guard, British Army Support Unit Belize (BATSUB), and BATSUB Families to the event, which included remarks from special guest speaker Cynthia Williams, Director of the Women’s Department.

“The aim of the event was to unite the women of the different security forces by providing a safe and fun environment where the women of the security forces participated in a friendly competition, which enabled the opportunity of bonding with each other,” the BDF said.

The Force also took the opportunity to wish a happy Women’s Month to all women.
