Minister of Sustainable Development Orlando Habet congratulates Western Dairies on new Ultra High Pasteurization processing plant

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Minister of Sustainable Development Orlando Habet congratulated Western Dairies for the Ultra-High Pasteurization processing plant officially opened on Wednesday, the fulfillment of a dream.

Minister Habet talked about what Western Dairies has done to get to this point saying UHT is something long-awaited in Belize and reiterated the fact that the products will have a long shelf life. Proper management of all steps of the process is important, he said.

Habet said his ministry is pleased to know that Spanish Lookout has a production program that uses 25 percent solar energy.

The Government, he said, will continue working with the private sector for national development.
