By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Cycling Federation of Belize (CFB) is staging the 21st Annual BEL Men’s Junior Cross Country Classic under the regulations of the International Cycling Union on Sunday, April 3.
The CFB said the 74-mile race will start at the Ferry in San Jose Succotz Village in the Cayo District at 9:00 a.m. From there it will head on the George Price Highway to San Ignacio-Santa Elena passing through the Joseph Andrews Drive, over the new bridge, to La Loma Luz roundabout coming out to the George Price Highway all the way to Belize City.
At the Faber’s Road roundabout, the riders will make a left turn to Lake Independence Boulevard and Chetumal Street, turning right to the Philip Goldson Highway to the Pallotti roundabout, unto Princess Margaret Drive for the finish in front of the Marion Jones Sports Complex.
Riders like C-Ray’s Goran Gabourel, G-Flow’ s Renan Codd and Jamar Murry, Chavarria Cycling Team’s Richard Rosado and Christopher Waight, and unattached riders like Tyler Tejeda and Elwin Humes will be competing in the Junior Cross Country.
