Belize Weather: Heating up

Fair and warm weather prevails per the National Meteorological Service. Skies today will be mostly sunny and tonight clear to partly cloudy with no rain expected.

High temperatures will be 89 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast; 96 degrees over inland areas and 82 degrees in the hills. Tonight it will be 80 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast; 74 degrees inland and 66 degrees in the hills.

Winds are southeasterly at 10 to 20 knots and gusty; sea state is moderate to rough with wave heights of five to seven feet. A small craft caution is in effect for gusty winds and occasionally rough seas.

Tides will be high at 9:37 this morning and 10:02 this evening and low at 3:52 this afternoon. The sun will set at five minutes past six this evening and rise at 5:48 Friday morning.

Continuing mainly fair and warm weather is expected on Friday.
