King Burger building burns in Dangriga as major ‘disaster’ averted

By Aaron Humes: Reports late this evening out of Dangriga Town say a major disaster was averted in the centre of town after the King Burger Restaurant on Commerce Street apparently caught fire late this afternoon.

Firefighters fought bravely inside and outside as spectators looked on, and managed to contain the fire from spreading to nearby buildings.

The restaurant was an iconic venue for events and for good food and it is not clear what caused the fire. No reports of any injuries were made.
