Turkish national robbed in Belize City while getting into his car

By BBN Staff: A Turkish national was robbed in Belize City last night.

Police say that 45-year-old Zafer Mehmet was getting into his vehicle which was parked in a parking lot on Gabourel Lane when three armed men approached him.

The men took from him an undisclosed amount of cash and other items then got into a waiting car parked in front of the Belize Red Cross and drove off in the direction of Handyside Street.

Police are investigating.
