Dr. Natalia Beer honored by Belize Tourism Board with Frontline Hero Award

By Benjamin Flowers: The Belize Tourism Board has honored Dr. Natalia Beer, Maternal and Child Health Unit at the Ministry of Health & Wellness with a Front Line Worker Award for playing an integral role in the national COVID-19 response.

“The BTB congratulates Dr. Beer for her recognition as our Frontline Hero and thanks her for her unwavering commitment to serving Belize,” the BTB said.

Minister of Tourism and Diaspora Relations, Anthony Mahler, personally presented the award to Dr. Beer last week, thanking her for her service during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The BTB also gave Dr. Beer a two-night stay for two at the San Ignacio Resort Hotel.

In accepting the award Dr. Beer said that it has motivated her to continue contributing to the national fight against COVID-19.

Notably, Dr. Beer was chosen as Breaking Belize News’ Woman of the Year 2021, in recognition of her invaluable service to Belize and the country grappled with the pandemic.
