Double traffic fatality on San Felipe Road

By Aaron Humes: A driver and passenger were killed when their Ford F150 pickup truck flipped several times on the San Felipe Road in Orange Walk on Saturday night.

According to police, 21-year-old Santos Blanco, Jr., of Trinidad, Orange Walk, was driving, accompanied by 27-year-old Arnold Tillett. Blanco lost control and both men were flung from the vehicle.

Responding police found both men’s bodies within 100 feet of the overturned and extensively damaged truck; they had passed before any help could get to the scene.

Police mentioned today that only cursory investigation will be done as neither occupant of the vehicle is alive and there is nothing specifically pointing to the cause of the accident at this time.
