COVID report: 29 new COVID-19 cases in last four days

By Aaron Humes: After 14 new cases of COVID-19 were reported countrywide over the weekend up to Monday, a further 15 have been reported today.

73 total recoveries were also reported, reducing the number of active cases to 156 with 196 samples under investigation.

Today’s new cases were reported in Belize City (five); San Joaquin, Corozal District; Orange Walk Town; Dangriga; Hope Creek, San Roman, Red Bank and Sittee River, Stann Creek District; and Punta Gorda Town, Bella Vista and San Benito Poite, Toledo District.

One person is hospitalized and no new deaths have been reported.

Overall, Belize has reported 57,318 total cases of which 98.5 percent have recovered and 656 have died.
