Man remanded to prison over unlicensed firearm and bullets

By BBN Staff: A Belize City man is on remand at the Belize Central Prison after being caught with an unlicensed gun and bullets.

Police say that on Friday, April 1, they conducted a search on 30-year-old Rynne Locke at his work place, a Belize City gas station, and found in his possession a .9mm pistol and a magazine containing 11 live .9mm rounds.

Locke was arraigned in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court today where no plea was taken given the nature of the offense.

He was remanded to prison until his next court appearance, but can obtain bail via the Supreme Court.
