By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Belize Women’s National Team’s (BWNT) is set to play against Aruba today Wednesday, April 6, in the Women’s World Cup Qualifiers.
The BWNT measures up against the visiting Aruba National Team at the FFB Stadium in Belmopan at 4:00 pm. The FFB said tickets cost $10.00.
The BWNT will then travel to San Salvador, El Salvador, instead of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, to play against Barbados on Tuesday, April 12.
Wednesday’s game is the Belize Women’s National Team’s third match in the World Cup Qualifiers. In the first two, they fell 0-6 to El Salvador and 0-8 to Panama, so they can no longer qualify to the next round of the qualifiers, but that doesn’t stop them from closing the qualifiers with better performances against the Caribbean sides.
