By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Football Federation of Belize (FFB) says the U19 Belize Men’s National Football Team (BMNT) is playing three friendlies starting Sunday in the Chetumal area in preparation for the Central American Football Union (UNCAF) Championship to be hosted by the FFB here in Belize at the end of the month.
The FFB said on Thursday that the U19 BMNT is playing two games in Chetumal and the other one 30 miles away at Pucté, across the Rio Hondo in the Orange Walk District, near San Roman Rio Hondo.
The first match will be against the Cañeros de Pucté at 4:30 p.m. (3:30 p.m. Belize) at Pucté on Sunday, April 10.
The second match will be played against CAR at La Charca in Chetumal on Tuesday, April 12, at 7:00 p.m. (6:00 p.m. Belize).
The final match will pit the BMNT against CAR MM at the Estadio 10 de Abril at 5:00 p.m. (4:00 p.m. Belize) on Thursday, April 14.
The UNCAF U19 Championship, which features all Central American countries plus Puerto Rico, will be played at the FFB Stadium and the Isidoro Beaton Stadium from April 24-30.
