Ministry of Agriculture technicians assist Orange Walk school with irrigation system for school garden

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Ministry of Agriculture, Food Security, and Enterprise (MAFSE) technicians assisted the San Pablo Community School in Orange Walk with their school garden’s irrigation system.

“School gardening taken to a new level at San Pablo Community School in Orange Walk District,” said MAFSE in a social media post.

“Growing our own food is important and learning by doing is one of the best ways of learning,” said MAFSE.

“We support school gardening, backyard gardening, and community gardening,” whose technicians also helped the school children with planting seedlings.

The Agriculture Ministry sent a message to schools that want to set up their gardens, saying they can call on MAFSE to lend them technical assistance.
