Two Belize City men were remanded to prison for gang affiliation

By BBN Staff: Belize City residents 29-year-old Lyndon Hinds and 19-year-old Jahreem Staine were remanded to the Belize Central Prison on charges of gang affiliation.

The men were arraigned in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court today where they faced a single count each of ” Being a Member of a Gang.”

Allegations against them are that Staine is a member of the Back-Ah-Lands Crip Gang, (BLC), and Hinds is alleged to be a member of the Jerusalem Bone Yard Crips Gang (JBYC).

In court, both men pleaded not guilty and due to the nature of the offense, bail was denied and they were remanded into custody at the Belize Central Prison until June 8.
