Belize Weather: Fair but cool start to weekend

The National Meteorological Service calls for variably cloudy skies with a few showers over southern districts this morning, decreasing and becoming isolated later this evening and tonight.

High temperatures along the coast peak at 82 degrees Fahrenheit; over inland areas at 84 degrees; and in the hills at 78 degrees. Tonight’s low temperatures are 74 degrees along the coast; 68 degrees inland and 62 degrees in the hills.

Winds are northerly to northwesterly at 10 to 20 knots and sea state is moderate, with waves of four to six feet.

Tides will be low at 8:58 this morning, high at 3:28 this afternoon and low again at a minute to midnight. The sun sets this evening at 6:07 and rises at 5:41 Sunday morning.

Generally fair weather is expected on Sunday with little or no rainfall.
