21-year-old man shot in Belize City on Saturday night recovering in the hospital

By BBN Staff: A Belize City resident who was shot last night is recovering at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital (KHMH).

Police say that 21-year-old Jaheem Baptist was on Boots Crescent walking with several other people when they were approached by someone who opened fire on them.

During the incident, Baptist was hit to the right arm and later taken for medical treatment. He is listed as being in stable condition.

Police say that they have recovered several expended shells from the scene in an ongoing investigation.
