By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The U19 Belize Men’s National Football Team (U19 BMNT) blanked Cañeros of Pucté 3-0 in their first friendly match in the Chetumal area in Mexico as they prepare for the Central America Union (UNCAF) Football Championship to be held here in Belize at the end of the month.

Jahmani Hope, Kevin Higinio, and Allison Torres scored for the U19 BMNT in the match played at Pucté, about 30 miles away from Chetumal, on Sunday evening.

The U19 BMNT’s second match is scheduled against CAR at La Charca in Chetumal on Tuesday, April 12, at 7:00 p.m. (6:00 p.m. Belize).

In the third and final match, the BMNT will face CAR MM at the Estadio 10 de Abril in Chetumal at 5:00 p.m. (4:00 p.m. Belize) on Thursday, April 14.

The UNCAF U19 Championship, which features all Central American countries plus Puerto Rico, will be played at the FFB Stadium and the Isidoro Beaton Stadium from April 24-30.
