“Payment can be done at Heritage bank account 1599. N take your receipt in. Registration is $75, $10 for chip and $30 race radio,” said Butler.
The chip he refers to is the timing chip that riders wear on themselves during the races and clocks their time.
The Holy Saturday Cross Country which goes from Belize City to San Ignacio and back is the biggest cycling event organized by the Cycling Federation of Belize. The race started as a tour to Cayo in 1928 and since then it became ‘the event’ on Holy Saturday.
This year the CFB is organizing the 92nd edition. The race had to be cancelled over the last two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
