By BBN Staff: Fifty-three-year-old Dennis Wagner, a homeless man from Belize City, was remanded to the Belize Central Prison today, pending a psychiatric evaluation.
Wagner was taken to the Belize City Magistrate’s Court and charged with stealing two phones which had a combined value of $700.
Before the charge could even be read to him, he began to tell the magistrate that he did not commit the theft and blamed the crime on his brother.
His case was adjourned to June 8.
Wagner is known to be walking between Cemetery Road, Orange Street and Albert Street on a daily basis.
