Minor, 17, charged with the murder of Tyreak August

By BBN Staff: Police have arrested and charged a 17-year-old male minor for the shooting death of 19-year-old Tyreak August.

Police say that the minor was charged, in the presence of his father, for the crime of murder on Tuesday.

August was shot dead on the night of Thursday, April 7, while he sat on the stairs of his home in La Democracia Village.

His murder formed a part of a series of incidents in the village that night which include arson and an aggravated assault.
