By Rubén Morales Iglesias: JDB wins the San Ignacio-Santa Elena Town (SISE) Council Easter Football Quadrangular on Holy Thursday, at Falcon Field in San Ignacio.

JDB beat NexGen 4-3 in the first game while the San Ignacio-Santa Elena Town Council defeated Ariston Call Centre 5-3 in the second match.

Ariston took third place as they downed NexGen 5-2 in the third game.

In the very competitive final, JDB won the quadrangular 5-4 over the SISE Town Council.

JDB’s Saúl Barrera was on hand to receive his team’s trophy. Mayor Trapp said “Don Saúl was one of the pioneers of the Mundialito tournaments held in Cayo some 20 years ago and all those players playing in his team are players he trained then”.
