By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The lead has dropped from six riders to five in the Holy Saturday Cross Country Cycling Classic as Eric Trapp of Westrac Alliance was left behind.
After nearly three hours, the riders are now on their way to Belize City and are turning at San Ignacio-Santa Elena.
The front five lead by nearly seven minutes over the field. The five are Westrac Alliance’s Byron Pope, Anguillan Hasani Hennis, American John DeLong, FAL’s Marlon Castillo, and G-Flow’s Shaun Codd.
Trapp was waiting for the peloton to catch up with him.
Joshua Kelly from Barbados has separated himself from the peloton on the way back to Belize City as the riders.
