Cristiano Ronaldo announces that one of his twins died at birth

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: “Our baby boy, you are our angel. We will always love,” tweeted Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez on Easter Monday announcing that one of their twins passed away at birth.

The Portuguese football star and his partner Georgina Rodriguez were expecting twins.

“It is with our deepest sadness we have to announce that our baby boy has passed away. It is the greatest pain that any parents can feel,” the couple wrote.

“Only the birth of our baby girl gives us the strength to live this moment with some hope and happiness.”

Ronaldo and Georgina said they were devastated and asked for privacy at this very difficult time.

They also thanked the doctors and nurses “for all their expert care and support”.

Cristiano Ronaldo, currently plays for Manchester United in England.
