Minor also charged in murder of Oscar Chiac; school watchman seen drinking and arguing in village

By Aaron Humes: In addition to Jeremio and Bernabe Xol of Armenia, Cayo District, a minor related to them has also been charged with murder.

Police say Chiac reported to work at the Armenia Government School around 5 p.m. Thursday. However, multiple witnesses say they saw him drinking in the village sometime thereafter and getting into an argument with the men now accused of killing him.

Chiac’s body was found on the second floor of the school with blunt force wounds and a steel rod nearby. There are also suspected sharp-force injuries that are being investigated.

The police investigation continues.
