There’s still time to register for the Belmopan City Council’s Startup Essentials Workshop

By Benjamin Flowers: More than 40 businesses have signed up for the Startup Essentials Workshop being hosted by the Belmopan City Council, but spaces are still available.

The online event is scheduled for Friday, April 22, from 9:00 a.m. – 12 noon. The Belize Trade and Investment Development (BELTRAIDE) will feature pertinent information formalizing, launching, and growing small businesses

Nikki Augustine, Councilor responsible for Small Business Promotion explained that the workshop forms a part of the Council’s calendar of events for the month of April.

“We have participation from the DFC (Development Finance Corporation) and the National Bank of Belize, talking about the different opportunities in terms of loans that are offered to small businesses,” Augustine said.

She noted that the event will also feature a presentation by Emil Pinelo from Emil C. Pinelo and Associates on the importance of accounting and taxes.
